Message from the Director

The Center for Cancer Disparities Research aims to address and explore issues related to health disparities and disease risk through a multi-disciplinary research, teaching and community-based perspective. The biological, psychosocial and behavioral factors, including social determinants related to health disparities, are investigated through analytical and observational studies. In conjunction with various research goals, our faculty provide a hands-on, enriching learning experience for our students, who in turn develop and execute exciting new projects. Last, but not least, our community partners provide valuable and irreplaceable partnerships to more effectively engage communities to better serve, understand and reduce health disparities.
